We are so excited and also just a little bit proud!!! We have won gold in the RACV Victorian Tourism Awards and still cannot believe that all that hard work Linda has put into the written submission has paid off. Running a business 7 days a week and writing a document of 12,000 words to ensure we present on paper as well as in reality is no easy task.

We know our villas present a great product for our visitors and we always try to improve as best as we can. But to have it now acknowledged by the judging panel of the Tourism Awards is another feather in our cap altogether. Something which many people may not realise about the RACV Victorian Tourism Awards is that it based 80% on the written submission and 20 % on the site visit. The document is basically a business plan on all the things we have done and improved in the last 12 months. So, for example we have become a lot more environmentally sustainable, we continue to connect strongly with the local tourism industry and local suppliers and we continue to put our guests front and foremost of everything we do. We also always hope they drive away with the best experience in their minds, and that they come back sometime in the future.

Needless to say, we are proud and excited to have won this wonderful award but not to rest on our laurels too much and in the midst of a busy summer season, we best get back to work. Oh, nearly forgot, we go into the Australian Tourism Awards as Victoria’s winner in the Self-contained Accommodation so wish us luck for early March 2020.

We wish you all the best and hope to see you in one of our Award-winning lakeside villas very soon in the future.
