We appreciate that most guests will respect our property, however we must state the following conditions:
- The Villas are accessed via a 4 digit security pin number. Access details will not be provided until the Total Balance has been paid in full. You MUST bring this pin-code to gain access to the Villa. There is no guarantee that someone will be contactable upon arrival.
- Guests agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of Lakeside Villas.
- Guests authorise Lakeside Villas to charge all amounts agreed upon to their credit card. Your credit card acts as our property bond.
- The number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation notice, fees will apply. Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited, use contrary to this may result in additional costs being charged.
- Departure: the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Check-out time is 10.30am at the latest, to allow time to prepare the property for next guests.
- The owner reserves the right to use existing payment facilities to compensate for Damage, Theft and loss, or any excess cleaning costs or costs incurred as a result of the tenant's actions. Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental or compensation for the aggrieved party.
- As you are aware the Lakeside Villas are situated in a rural area. We do advise that as much as we like to assist with the maintenance we do not control nature. On occasion we can see an elevated presence of certain insects including flies, wasps & mosquito's etc. We have provided insect repellent for all villas to use in these circumstances.
- The Villa number you have booked may not be the Villa number allocated to you. It is the managers discretion as to which villa you will be allocated.
- The number of guests staying in the Villa must not exceed the number of guests booked and paid for. The sofa bed may be used for a surcharge and by prior arrangement only.
- Additional costs may be charged to a guest’s credit card in the event that damage, beyond ordinary wear and tear, has been caused to the room and/or its contents and if items are missing. Without prejudice to any other remedies available, Owner shall be entitled to debit the credit card used to make the principal payment with quoted value of repairs/replacement. This includes water damage due to flooding the spa-bath or excessive splashing.
- No Fake tan of any kind is to be used whist staying at the Villas- if any damage is caused as a result, the extra laundering/ replacement linen will be charged to your credit card.
- The guest is required to leave the property in the same clean, neat and tidy condition, as it was upon arrival. Additional costs may be charged to a guest’s credit card if additional cleaning services are required. This fee is based on $75 per hour.
- We ask that after 10pm (11pm on a Saturday night) guests adhere to our noise curfew and keep all noise to a quiet minimum. Should we receive a noise complaint from another unrelated guest in an adjoining Villa for noise made within the Villa, you will be liable to pay compensation for disturbing their stay. This may mean compensating their accommodation cost.
- No pets. No smoking inside villas.
- Please be aware that the property is a working vineyard with cellar door and restaurant facilities attached. We do our utmost to ensure you will not be inconvenienced by vineyard activities.
- If personal items are left behind, we are happy to post to you at your cost upon request.
- the owners take no responsibility for the tenant’s personal property.
- The Lakeside Villas are fully self-contained and are not serviced daily. You will be provided with a breakfast hamper for your first morning and a bottle of Crittenden Estate Sparkling wine on arrival (for stays of 2 nights or longer AND if booked directly through www.lakesidevillas.com.au).
- Wedding parties are required to take all large boxes and all wedding related items/rubbish with them. No rose petals are to be used on the floor or bedding.
- There is only one vehicle car space allocated per villa. If you have extra visitors, please advise them to park their vehicle in the restaurant/ wine centre car park.
- As we are on a rural property, the water system is heated by electricity. Although it is a large system suitable for the villa, there is a finite amount of water in the reservoir. Please consider this if you wish to fill the spa and have a shower/ wash dishes at a similar time. The reservoir will take time to heat again.
- As is the case with all electricity, from time to time we may experience blackouts which also controls the water supply. Although it is an inconvenience, this is beyond our control and no compensation can be provided.
Cancellation Policy:
Due to the boutique, small nature of our 3-villa property, we are limited in our flexibility to cancel or amend reservations. With this in mind, all reservations require a 50% deposit at the time of booking.
If you cancel or amend your reservation/s:
a) With more than 31 days notice prior to your arrival date, your 50% deposit will be refunded less a $75 administrative fee.
b) 15-30 days notice is given prior to your arrival date, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total reserved accommodation will be charged.
c) 14 days or less notice is given prior to your arrival date, you will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to your total reserved stay.
** IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION FOR GUESTS**
For an unknown period, the conditions below may override some standard terms & conditions. All other standard terms & conditions will apply.
Lakeside Villas will follow all government or council initiated restrictions applying to the Mornington Peninsula Shire and East Gippsland Shire.
This policy will apply within the 7 days leading to the booking only. Cancellations further out than 7 days will incur normal cancellation policies.
We strongly recommend that you take out additional travel insurance that will cover you for COVID-19, but please ensure you check the PDS of the insurer to ensure that you are covered, as not all insurers cover for COVID-19.
Under the following circumstances we will offer you a change of dates, credit note or refund if you and your entire group are affected by COVID-19:
- We are unable to host you due to travel bans/restrictions in our region
- You are unable to travel due to travel bans/restrictions in your region
- You are unable to travel due to border restrictions between your home and our properties
- You are unable to travel due to the reintroduction of quarantine requirements on returning home, providing there was no quarantine requirement when you booked your accommodation.
IF the above circumstances apply for only SOME of your guests before your arrival date, our standard terms and conditions will apply and you will not be entitled to a special cancellation policy or refund.
IF the above circumstances apply for ALL guests during only SOME your booking dates, Lakeside Villas agrees to allow one of the following:
- a credit note for ONLY the date/s that have been restricted OR
- to add the cancelled days to the end of your booking (if available)
We will not offer change of dates, credit note or refunds for COVID-19 circumstances that can be covered by travel insurance such as you contracting COVID-19 prior to arrival or mandatory quarantine. In those cases, our normal cancellation policy will apply.
IF travel is restricted during your booking AND you have already arrived at the property, Lakeside Villas agrees that you can remain in the property until your departure date. Should you choose to leave early to return home during this period, no refund, future date change or credit note shall be given.
Bookings made via 3rd party websites with held payments (eg AirBnB, Booking.com) will incur the cancellation policy of the website booked. Guests will need to check the relevant 3rd party website policies for details.
